This is the third phase of a 250,000 SF complex of three large buildings designed for an international biotech company that focuses on developing chronic therapies for life threatening conditions. Phase-3 is a new 7-story, 100,000 SF, building which includes 6 floors of office space, ground floor retail, below grade parking, and outdoor public gardens with a water feature and seating. The primary spatial feature of the design is the south facing triple height atrium lobby. The main entrance on Spring Street leads one into the lobby or to the 2-story egg-shaped structure that houses a 2nd floor, 150-seat, lecture hall and first floor reception area. Exterior materials consist of metal rain screen panels and a custom designed curtain-wall. The low roof and terrace areas are filled with green gardens. Solar panels fill the high roof areas.
